How far in advance should I book?

Once you have a confirmed travel date, we recommend booking as soon as possible. Most guests book 1 to 3 months in advance. Unlike motorbike tours, jeep availability is limited, so early booking helps us arrange everything properly. Bus transfers are one way and per person, charged as an add-on. Ask us for the full timetable from your pickup point.

Good questions

Ha Giang Loop FAQ

Can I do the Ha Giang Loop if I cannot ride a motorbike?
Yes. You travel in a private 4×4 with your own driver, so no riding or driving is needed. You see the same passes, villages and viewpoints as a motorbike tour, from a comfortable seat.
When is the best time to do the loop?
The loop runs all year. Roughly, September to November brings clear skies and buckwheat flowers, March to May is green and mild, summer is lush but can be wet, and winter is cold and misty but quiet. Tell us your dates and we will tell you what to expect.
How do we get from Hanoi to Ha Giang?
Most travellers take an overnight sleeper or a limousine van from Hanoi, about 6 to 7 hours, arriving early so the first day starts fresh. We can arrange this transfer as an add-on. See the transfer options above.
What is included in the price?
Your private jeep and driver, fuel and fees, accommodation with a dorm bed (upgradeable to a private room), most meals, all entrance tickets, bottled water and 24/7 support. The two way bus and travel insurance are not included.
Is the tour private or shared with other guests?
Every jeep tour is fully private. The price is the total for your group, and you set the pace and the photo stops.
Do we miss anything by not being on a motorbike?
No. The jeep follows the same route with the same stops and the same activities. The only difference is you arrive rested, warm and dry, with room for your bags.
